Meitar Ensemble is happy to announce the winning piece of the 11th Matan Givol Composers Competition:

First prize: Sungtae Paek (South Korea) - ‘Shattered Colours’

We would like to thank all the competitors who participated in this edition of the Competition.

We were glad to receive over 100 submissions from all over the world: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Armenia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The performance of the winning piece took place in Tel Aviv as part of the CEME Festival concluding concert on December 26th 2026 under the baton of Meitar’s conductor in residence, Pierre-André Valade.
